A large-scale expansion of the motorway roundabouts in Rødekro has begun with a view to allowing special transports and module road trains to pass.
Work on the south-eastern roundabout is proceeding as planned, and the large wind turbine transports are already able to pass.
The expansion of the north-western roundabout is expected to end before Easter.
Once both expansions are completed, module road trains should also be able to pass.
A module road train is a road train that is up to 25.25 metres long and consists of two or three units, e.g. lorry, trailer, road tractor, semi-trailer or centre-axle trailer. It can weigh a total of 60 tons.
