In a border region like GateDenmark, where the influx of foreign labor is significant, international employees represent a valuable resource for local businesses. To maximize the potential of these employees, Padborg Transportcenter has now made it easier for companies to offer Danish language courses close to the workplace.
You no longer need to send your employees far away for Danish lessons. Now they can receive instruction in Padborg, saving them unnecessary travel time. The next course starts on September 17, 2024, at Padborg Transport Center’s facilities at Toldbodvej 2 in Padborg.
About the course
The Danish as a Second Language course is aimed at foreign employees at various linguistic levels. The instruction focuses on everyday communication and industry-specific terminology, which can ease daily communication and boost employees’ confidence in speaking, understanding, and reading Danish. Additionally, there will be a special emphasis on cultural understanding, helping employees navigate Danish work and social contexts. The teaching is organized in small groups with a minimum of 12 participants, ensuring differentiated instruction that meets the needs of each individual participant. The course is held once a week, either on Tuesday or Thursday, depending on the level of the group.
There is the possibility of wage compensation through AMU/VEU as well as potential subsidies from competence funds.
