Lorry drivers visiting Padborg Transport Centre will soon benefit from a new app which, according to Director of Padborg Transport Centre Jesper Schimann Hansen, will make everyday life in the area a whole lot easier.

‘Among other things, our new app will be able to inform the lorry drivers where to park, the location of toilet and bathing facilities and which ramps to use at the company they are bringing goods to or from’, says Jesper Schimann Hansen.

The app is being developed by Mads Iversen from BeaMii, who has also produced an app used in connection with the Padborg Cup, enabling the visitors to see the results of the matches as well as the canteen menu.

‘It is practically an all-in-one app. The companies have some sensors called Beacons which are connected to the app, and they enable the companies to share a series of information and features’, says Mads Iversen and continues:

‘All members of the Padborg Transport Centre will get access to a platform that can be further developed. So in the long term, the app can also be used as an intranet for the companies, e.g. for clocking in and out and other internal procedures’.

The app, which is being developed with financial support from the FDE Foundation, can soon be downloaded from App Store and Google Play.
