It’s happening: The long-awaited motorway bridge over the E45 in Padborg is becoming a reality.

Aabenraa Municipality has just signed a contract with the contractors who will build the new motorway bridge over the E45 in Padborg. The bridge will connect Padborg’s eastern and western business areas more closely and make it easier and faster to get around. Construction will begin in spring 2025, and the bridge is expected to be completed in summer 2026.

A bridge the business community has been waiting for
The bridge has been a long-standing wish from the transport and logistics sector because it improves access to and from the business areas on both sides of the motorway. Once the project is completed in summer 2026, it will offer businesses faster and more flexible transport options – both nationally and internationally.
Chair of the Committee for Planning, Technical Services, and Rural Districts, Dorte Soll, is pleased that the project is now moving into the next phase:
“This is an important step for Padborg and the entire municipality. With the bridge, we are creating better infrastructure that strengthens the business community and makes the area even more attractive for companies and employees. I look forward to seeing the boost it will bring to the business area once it is completed,” says Dorte Soll in a press release.
