Last week, the HR network in Padborg, consisting of 14 HR managers from the area’s companies, gathered for a meeting on recruiting the apprentices of the future.
According to Statistics Denmark, there will in 2030 be 45,000 fewer people in the 15-25-year-range than today. Thus, attracting young people to the transportation industry is crucial for companies in the future.
The company CompanYoung was visiting, providing insight into what is important when young people choose apprenticeships.
CompanYoung specialises in helping companies, educational institutions and industry organisations to attract and retain young people in educations and in the workplace.
‘It is important that, in the future, we stand together to make it attractive to apply for a job in Padborg. That is why the HR network is so important for Padborg’, says Jesper Schimann Hansen, Director of Padborg Transport Centre.
