Today, Q8 in Padborg opened as the first LNG facility in Denmark.
LNG is liquefied natural gas for heavy transport, which reduces CO2 emissions by 20 per cent compared to conventional diesel. In addition, it does not emit sulphur, and black carbon emissions are severely reduced.
The opening speech was held by Susanne Dalsgaard Provstgaard, Deputy Chairperson of Padborg Transport Centre, and Transport Spokesperson for the Conservative People’s Party Niels Flemming Hansen also attended the opening.
LNG is a widely used fuel throughout Europe – and now the more than 7,000 lorries that each day pass through Padborg will be able to choose a greener solution.
